Transforming Construction with Off-site Methods and Technologies (TCOT)
2024Modern technologies, including reality capture and data sensing technologies, artificial intelligence (AI), 3D printing and additive manufacturing, and robotics, are transforming industries worldwide.
In the context of construction, these technologies have the potential to revolutionize processes and increase productivity. The integration of these advanced technologies and off-site methods of construction needs to be fostered to overcome the productivity challenges faced by the construction industry.
Join us at UNB Off-site Construction Research Centre's (OCRC) biennial conference, 'Transforming Construction with Off-Site Methods and Technologies', where we're pushing the boundaries of traditional construction practices and embracing the future of building.
This specialty conference will feature presentations of peer-reviewed papers and relevant case studies from the industry, engaging attendees in discussions about new and emerging technologies in the built environment.
The planned topics of this conference will encompass three main themes: processes, technologies, and people. Under each theme, the example topics include, but not limited to, the following:
- Manufacturing processes
- Advanced technologies
- People and management
