Abstract

The PSYONIC Ability Hand is a commercially available multiarticlated prosthetic hand with six degrees of freedom and sensorized digits. Through using contact reflexes and vibration feedback users can grasp delicate objects without damaging them. We show results that two subjects successfully grasp hollow eggshells and fragile cups statistically significantly more often when provided with contact reflexes and touch feedback.
